Begin by going to Classes located within the Scuba Diving feature on the tree menu. The Scuba Classes pull from the Courses set up and offered through your store. Any courses not available to select from must be set up in Courses first.
Click the New Courses button on the toolbar to create a new blank entry at the top of the Scuba Classes window.
Class # - This number is automatically generated upon saving the new class entry and cannot be edited.
Diving Course - This is a drop down field that lists all Courses you have selected to offer through your store. Select the course from the list which you are creating the class for.
Class Capacity - Use this to indicate the maximum number of students that can sign up for the class. This number along with the number of remaining seats is indicated at the POS for the cashier. If the cashier decides to sign up a customer and that sign up exceeds the available seats, the cashier will be notified, with the option to continue sign up.
Session Count - This is the total number of sessions, whether class or pool, that makes up the class. Setting this value will create entries in the Class Schedule.
Start Date - This is the date the class begins. Use the ... button to access a calendar or type in the month/day/year. Tab off the field to display to full date format with the day of the week.
End Date - This is the date the class ends. Use the ... button to access a calendar or type in the month/day/year. Tab off the field to display to full date format with the day of the week.
Primary and Assistant Instructors - Use these drop down fields to access your list of instructors that will be responsible to teaching the selected class.
Remaining Seats - This value is calculated from the Class Capacity and gets updated as customers are signed up for the class. When creating a new class, the value for the remaining seats will get set upon saving as long as the class capacity has been filled in.
