The checkbox to update description was only used for the catalog. Now the checkbox willl apply to both areas at once and is turned off by default.

Then set your send PO Via option to Order Dog by Vendor file. This will generate a file containing the UPC, Qty and Vendor # (comma delimited) that forces the Order Dog system to use the assigned vendor rather than distribute the item to an alternate vendor based on some internal criteria on their part. The force will only occur if the item is carried by that particular vendor in Order Dog.

for the dive card, the system would only charge the 15 dollar difference when paying off the charter/dive. If they were dropped, the system re-upped their card and gave no refund. But in this scenario they are due the difference. This has been fixed to re-up the card count and also refund the difference. This is the same for options checked off for a dive. They will get the difference in the dive card allowed price and what they paid.

You can set the date to any date desired and choose the print format. If you order Promotion/Sale Tags, the promotion expiration will automatically be set otherwise it auto fills with the tag/label order date.

V2020 Build 200309

Enhancement: When signing in at the Point of Sale, the sign in POS code can now be set to a specific length. The default is Any and requires the <Enter> key to sign
in. If you choose a specific length, EncomPos will auto sign in after the final number is pressed. You must first set all of your POS codes to the proper length before the system will allow the change. See Security -> User Accounts. Set the fixed length between 2 and 10.. It's all about saving a keystroke or touch!. Sign in cards are still functional and unchanged.

Enhancement: Special Ordering has been enhanced. You may now make payments on mutplile special orders on one transaction as well as pick up mulitple special orders in one ticket. This includes mutliple orders under different names, so that a special order for a husband and wife can be succesfully worked in a single transaction.

New: When paying a charter or trip using a loyalty dive/trip card and later dropping and refunding the customer refunded them the money and kept the dive card status the same. With the prospect that the dive card price may be a discount over the regular price, this could result in the customer getting more money back based on the difference in card price vs regular price. To resolve this, when dropping a customer from the roster, the system now checks if the payment was applied from a dive card and if it was, the system drops them and bumps the card count up by 1 and does not allow a refund of any money.

The auto start/auto close is used for cashless stations where only credit card transactions are being apllied. In this scenario, the start cash is set to zero and the shift does not need to be closed out and counted. The auto close option still triggers a start cash (whether automatic or manual), but will auto close the shift with the keep in drawer amount set to the start cash.

Fix:
When returning a full ticket that contained Store Coupon % discounts, the invoice would not apply the discount back to the return invoice allowing the customer to gain the benefit of the coupon.

New: Added the ability to open a catalog item that you stock (in inventory) from the suppliers Catalog view. Right click a stocked item and choose Open Inventory Item...

Enhancement: You may now import a catalog with duplicate UPC/GTIN codes as long as they have a unique supplier item #. This is now allowed because many vendors are providing case purchase options with the same UPC but different items #'s for ordering. This has no impact on inventory.

This is used to ensure the customer is present and employees are not attempting to return cash from a previous cash tendered transaction to themselves or a friend/family member. To view the captured drivers license, see the transaction journal and click the car icon next to the customer column.

Fix: Work Orders in Retail Operations could not generate a ew Work Order. Work Orders had to be created at the Point of Sale.

This option is located to the far right in the grid.

V6 Build 190624
Fix: Lookup Catalog by Supplier had an error when ringing an item not found in inventory.

Fix: There are instances when looking up a product code beginning with 24 and 12 or 13 in length was not further found by any if its alias codes. This is related to the UPC standard of not issuing any upc coces beginning with many 2X codes. Regardless, this has been fixed..

Enhancement: The customer gender/sex column has been aded to the Customer Search Results. This column is sortable and can be used to target men or woman for various tasks.

Enhancement: Work Order Claim Checks can use the existing embedded/combined Work Order plus the Rich Text document or it can now print the work order separate from an attached PDF agreement. See Retail Operations -> Customers -> Work Orders -> WO Claim Check. Choose a print style.

New: A new color code has been added to the row of an inventory search item. The color indicates a No Reorder setting on the item. The default color is purple, but can be modified in the Grid Preferences option. Fix: When selling an item that is not in inventory or a catalog or the item is not in inventory but found in a supplier catalog, the system did not check for age validation, Weighed Item Status or EBT settings.

Enhancement: Quick Customer Reports within the customer search now has 2 new shopping activity reports limited by date range instead of full history.

Fix: When sending a PO via email, the system allowed a cancel when choosing the PO format, but moved the PO to the sent display when you attempted to cancel from the email send window. Now you can cancel at any point on the send process and keep the PO in the unsent view.

Version 6 Build 190502
Enhancement: Coupon programs now have the option to set a minimum required spend amount for the coupon to work, a maximum discount when set to %off and the ability to set a start date for the coupon in addition to today and tomorrow.

Version 6 Build 190424

We recommend Secure Lockdown https://www.inteset.com/secure-lockdown-standard-edition for $19.95.

Version 6 Build 190410
Enhancement: Accumulation Reward Programs has split off the Reward Free Product(s) into 2 separate programs. The first is now Free product (same) which is limited to 1 free product where all accumulation eligible items are also reward eligible. This behaves exaclty the same as the original Free Product reward setting and limits the reward to 1. The new reward setting is Different Product(s) Free and contains accumulation products and separate reward eligible products. This program can issue more than 1 free product as a reward. For example, set up a Buy 1 get 2 free program where the buy in is a bag of dog food and the free products are some inexpensive treats.

Enhancement: Accumulation Reward Programs now have an option to accumulate the full retail price on all eligible items in the program. This does not affect the selling price, but overrides any promotion price, group discount or manual discount toward the reward program itself. This impacts the average retail off reward, lowest retail off reward and the spend $ total being calculated so that your lowest or average off will be issued against the lowest full retail of all items accumulated, or generate a higher average off for all items accumulated. Additionally, any spend program will accumulate a higher retail reaching the spend goal faster. See Loyalty Programs -> Accumulation Rewards. Check on the Accum Full Retail option to enable this feature.

Version 6 Build 190321
Enhancement: EnCorp Sync now includes synchronizing Customer Product Coupons across locations. This feature is under Loyalty Programs -> Coupon Generator Programs. Requires EnCorp Sync version 190321.

Enhancement: Coupon Generator Programs and Accumulation Rewards. The Coupon Generator Program has been expanded from generating coupons based on only products purchased to products, departments and all inventory. Set what triggers a coupon to be issued at the bottom of a receipt and what can be used to redeeem the coupon. It can also be triggered to print from an accumulation reward rule. For example set a spend $100 dollar reward rule to trigger a product coupon. The redemption of the coupons can be set to discount on specific products, specific departments, all inventory and all inventory can have exclusion departments and excluded products. The coupons can be set to dollar Off or % off. Coupons can be set to expire on a set date, or x days after issuance. We have added a new setting to determine when a coupon can be first used. Set it to today or starting tomorrow to force the customer to visit on a different day. The example below is triggered from an accumulation reward program set to Spend $500 on any scubapro items to get a $100 dollar coupon toward a G2 Wrist computer. The coupon prints at the bottom of the receipt.

Coupon Images must be 400x300 pixels and saved as a grayscale 8 bit BMP file to be printable on a thermal receipt printer. The coupon feature is currently limited to receipt printers only. A new option to email reward coupons is coming soon.

Version 6 Build 190306

Enhancement: EnCorp Sync now includes synchronizing case qty and case price as part of the cost, retail price change sync.

Fix: When using the arrow buttons to scroll through a 3 day or 7 day view, the roster would open when an activity was underneath the left and right arrow (pictured below). It will now scroll ahead/back 3 or 7 days. You may also click in any blank area in the first and last pane to scroll days.

New: A new display format is available on the Scuba calendar. The Activity View displays a scrollbale list all non closed activities, events, charters, trips, classes and swim lessons ordered by Year or (Year and Month). Sort Newest to Top or Oldest To Top. This is great for quickly viewing all scheduled activities in one scrollbale list. It's also useful when you don't know when an activity or event was scheduled. Simply scroll through the list and click for the roster.

Fix: Fixed an error that could display when viewing the 3 day detail calendar where classes were scheduled in the veiwing pane. Additonally, the 3 day detail and 3 day standard views are now accessed by clicking a hyper-link on the bottom left of the first day's pane.

Version 6 Build 190226.
New: Retail Operations -> Customer - > Memberships: The Customer Memberships page now has a report feature displaying various Membership Listings. There is also a mechanism to deactivate a non dated membership. Right click and choose Deactivate Membership Program to set the status to inactive. Inactive Memberships will not accept new memberships, but will let existing members benefit to their expiration date.

New: The Drawer Loan Feature is now active. Use this in lieu of the Paid In for adding cash to the drawer. Cash Drops and Drawer Loans do not impact QuickBooks feeds. It's just money moving in and out of the cash drawer. Use Paid Outs and Paid Ins for Expense accounts. A Paid In will typcially be used to put change back into the drawer from purchasing store supplies or paying out petty cash for services. So for example, you may take out $20 dollars for Office Supplies, but the final receipt for those supplies was $19.01. You can put the change back in the drawer and hit the expense account for .99 cents making the paid out accurate at 19.01. To activate Drawer Loans, add the button to your POS pad from Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> POS Pad Layout. Drawer Loans will now appear on your POS closeout slip.

Enhancement: Selling a Membership now prints the membership customer name on the receipt. The customer on the sale can be different than the membership customers. A typical example is selling multiple children a membership but having the sale tie to the parent.

Fix: Selling Memberships now limits the Quantity Multiplier to 1 when sold. This forces the associate to choose a customer for each membership sold.

Enhancement: PET Industry: When generating a Pet Food Experts PO, the order file generated now includes the PO# in the file name. The original file name only included PFX-Account#.txt. The file would get overwritten each time a new order was sent. This will now retain copies of sent orders for review/verification. This change has been approved by the supplier.

Fix: When defining a Product Card Program for Dives and the rule for free or discounted dives is set to Credit Any Dive Up to $, the system credited trips in addition to Charters. Dive Cards will no longer apply to any trip. This did not effect the other two rules: 1) dive = $ and 2) Any Dive Under $.

Enhancement: Added a default commission percent to the course list. The commission in the course list will apply to any classes created for the course. Additionally, the commission % on the course will default from the commission % on the department when a department is chosen for the course. If no department is chosen, the default department in the toolbar will be used to determine the default commission %. The only time a commission % will be used to calculate a commission earnings for an associate is when the commission rule is set to Dynamic product %, otherwise it will always use the associate commission % or the dynamic margin levels calculation depending on what the setting is in system Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Back Office Settings Tab -> Employee/Associate Tab.

New: A product's tax status (not tax rate) can now be included in the sync of inventory. If stores have different tax requirements or have multiple taxes that other locations do not, please disable the syncing of tax settings between stores. We have also included syncing out changes to Commissionable status, Commission Percent, Weighed Item, Default Qty, EBT, Request Price, Needs Barcode and Supplier Item # on inventory records. These new options require EnCorp Sync version 5.19.03.01

New: The Inventory Search List now contains Prior Cost, Prior Margin and Prior Retail columns. This helps to see the impact of a catalog update or PO Receive when a cost or retail change occurred. See the last 3 columns in your search. Feel free to move the columns where you want. These fields make it easy to visualize the changes without having to click the full cost or retail history links in the form view.

Enhancement: Adding products from a catalog to inventory now defaults the Reorder By to the system default reorder by located in System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Back Office Settings Tab -> Purchase Orders tab.

Version 6 Build 190204
New: Double click an item in a Purchase Order to open up the Inventory Search and load all P.O. items. It also highlights/selects the item double clicked allowing for quick edits and review.

New:
Last Sold and Last Received columns are now on the Purchase Order Worksheet.
(Not Sent View).

New: 2 New Handheld RF activities have been added.
Sales History - Shows a products QOH, Supplier, Last Sold, and 1 Month, 3 Month, 6 Month, 1 Year and Previous Year Sold Count.
Alias Lookup - Displays a products alias codes and supplier item #.

Enhancement: When using the Handheld RF to perform a Physical Inventory, the system now marks an item as counted when the count remains the same and the associate presses enter to accept the displayed QOH count. Originally, you had to re-type the current QOH. This was in place to force a count on every item, but slowed down the process and often created issues where items counted were not officially marked as counted forcing a review of not counted items.

Fix: Returning a Kit Assembly item from a receipt return did not re-up the QOH on the inner items.

Fix: Selling multiple Kit Assembly items in the same transaction, caused some of the QOH adjustments of the contained inventory items to not be adjusted correctly.

Fix: Reversing a PO receive did not re-up the On Order Count. This was always corrected when a nightly or manual order analysis was run. So, the problem was always self rectified that same night or earlier.

Version 6 Build 190122
Fix: When using FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In First Out) for your inventory valuation, the FIFO/LIFO calculation was not inserting a new record when the cost was different on a QOH manual Adjustment and that cost was not in the FIFO table. Instead, it adjusted the existing QOH for the last cost point found.

Fix: When using FIFO or LIFO for your inventory valuation, the FIFO/LIFO calculation was not re-calculated on Handheld Tasks including Quick +/-, Quick QOH Replace and Physical Inventory
. It now adjusts down from the oldest cost point and up from the newest cost point.

New: Card On File tokenization is now supported on the Ingenico iPP320 and Ingenico iPP350 terminals. The Verifone VX805 and Ingenico iSC250 were the only payment terminals originally supporting tokenized Card on File.

New: Customers dropped in the Scuba Calendar for Day Trips/Charters and Activities where a penalty was retained, now allows the cancelled customers to be re-activated by clicking the cancelled text label.

Enhancement: Day Trips/Charters and Activities on the Scuba Calendar now supports Group Pay Deposits and Drop with Penalty options. The penalty will only apply to fully or partially paid customers.

Enhancement: Loyalty Product Card Programs (Air Fill Cards, Trip Cards and Product Cards): Added a setting to apply an expiration x days after sign up. This will place an end date on liability for customers who have not used up their remaining count. Any programs with an expiration will print the current expiration on the customer receipt.

Enhancement: Supplier Catalogs now include a new blue status indicator representing that an item is in your inventory but discontinued. The green indicator now only represents active inventory items.
The new legend is:

Version 6 Build 181228 year end 2018
Enhancement: An EnCorpHQ package now includes serial number transferring as part of a store transfer package.

Enhancement: Integrated merchant processing now semi supports "pre-dip" chip card. Pre dip means a customer can insert their chip card prior to tendering epay. Additionally, cancelling an e-pay transaction can now be initiated by the associate on the POS screen rather than having to press cancel on the payment terminal. The pre-dip will only be supported for customers that disable the Amount OK Prompt in Merchant Settings. Furthermore, all Ingenico payment terminals require RBA version 19.01 or later to support this feature. The version can be found on the back of your payment pad. Note: This is only an interum merchant processing update as the next generation of Tetra Payment Terminals from Ingenico will be out in spring 2019 to support true pre-dip and ultra fast chip processing. Yes it never ends!!

Enhancement: You can now look up a customer membership status from the POS screen when a customer is assigned to a sale. Click the customer balances button after looking up the customer.

See the New Membership box within that pop up window. This will show a list of all membership status 's.

New: Volume Discount Promotion Type. We now support mix-n-match volume discounts for Buy X Get Y Free. This makes 3 supported types. See Retail Operations - Promotion Zone.
1) Buy x Get $ Off
2) Buy x For $ Price
3) Buy x Get y Free

Enhancement: Special Promotion Shelf Tags have been modified to display Volume Discount promotions with up to 3 buy points on a single tag. Improved the tag layout and added support for Buy x Get $ off volume discount presentation on the tag. See sample print of various promotion styles below.

New: A product's add time is now displayed within the inventory search results grid and form view.

New: A product's added by (user) is now displayed within the inventory search results grid and form view. This will only have values for new items added as it was not tracked prior to the update.

New: A product's add from store is now displayed within the inventory search results grid and form view. Requires an updated EnCorp Sync to push add store and added by from another location.

New: EnCorp Sync now includes synchronizing customer merges across locations.

Enhancement: EnCorp Sync now includes synchronizing added by and add store for new items pushed to other locations.

Enhancement: EnCorp Sync now has the option to set off hours so that the sync will not operate during a specific timeframe.

New: Integrated Merchant services now includes an option to capture and blind approve transactions when the internet is down. This feature is called store and forward and has settings to limit the maximum sale amount per transaction and the maximum # of offline transactions. Some processors must enable this feature to be active. An additional charge may apply. Set these amounts to a reasonably acceptable value if you wish to enable this feature for the convenience of your customers. To disable this feature, set the maximum to zero for both values. See Retail Operations -> Merchant Panel -> Merchant E-Pay Setup. Note: if there are any offline transactions, a back office function must be initiated to process offline transaction when the internet becomes available. The response from the processor will include totals for what was captured offline and what was ultimately approved in terms of amounts and # transactions. Any transaction not approved from offline mode cannot BE CAPTURED. It is wise to get the customer's email, phone and address during an oujtage where you want to use store and forward. Some prcoessor have an additonal monhtly fee for this service.

Fix: When defining an Accumulation Reward program for Buy x Get Avg. $ off, the system did not reward the average off when the definition was in 1 visit instead of over multiple visits.

Version 6 Build 181109
New: Added a new Pet Industry Purchase order file format. Bradley Caldwell is retiring the Bullseye 4 upload software for orders. The new method is sent via the Bradley Caldwell website. The new file format is a CSV file with Item#,UPC,Qty. Update your Bradley supplier file format in the Send PO Via setting to "(Pet) Bradley Caldwell Online Portal" on your supplier form view. This will automatically select the proper format when the Send button is pressed on your purchase order.

New: Added support for Sterling/EVO Merchant processing. Now choose from WorldPay/Mercury, Heartland, Sterling Payments or EVO International.

New: You may now set the system to allow shifts to carry over multiple days. See System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point of sale Options tab -> Tills & Money tab. The new option can toggle between the original setting (Only choice) named: "New Shifts Start Every Day" and the new setting "Allow Shifts to Carry Over Multiple Days".
The benfits of using a Multi-Day shift is that you can retain the start cash amount over mutiple days and accumulate cash over a longer period of time. This can help reduce the time and effort it takes to perform a formal closeout every day. This is especially useful for stores that have little cash in or procedurally wish to close out on demand at any interval.

The drawback to carry over mulitple days is that if you do not close out the night before and you wanted to start a new shift the next day, simply logging into the POS will not automatically trigger a start shift request. Instead an employee would have to close the previous shift first and most importantly remember to do it. Forgetting to close out would result in any new transactions combining into a single multi-day shift.
The Retail Operations closeout report now supports muti day shifts on the terminal shift view. It automatically displays each shift begin and end point by date range for instant viewing. All non closed shifts will always display regardless of selected date range. A hyperlink on the shift range will allow the report to be displayed for a specific date in the shift date range.

Fix: The 181029 release broke the ability to retire a user due to security changes. Additionally, retired accounts now have their password and POS code reset.

Fix: The 181029 release created an error on receiving a PO containing serialized items. This was a result of the new advanced sort right click feature added to the PO details grid.

Enhancement: Added a security permission for deleting a Purchase Order. The system always prompted with an Are you sure question?, but now you can block, record access and require ranking authorization prior to the final question. See Security -> Permission Control -> Purchasing -> Purchase Orders -> Delete PO. This can be set independently for each permission group defined.

Fix: After loading a running tab, the Point of Sale would allow the associate to load another running tab. This had the potential in some cases to replace the combined running tab into the second customers account. EncomPos retail now blocks the ability to load another tab until the first one is closed or tendered out.

Enhancement: When viewing charters on the Scuba calendar, the boat name is now displayed in the hover information box. This eliminates the need to click a calendar element to view all details if you are looking for the boat name and captain.

Enhancement: When loading inventory items from a saved workset, the performance has been increeased 10 fold.

Enhancement: When using the inventory search on date driven criteria (Add Date (New Products), Last Ordered, Last Received, Last Sold, Retail Price Change, Cost Change, No Cost Change, No Retail Price Change, Best Sellers, Dollar Volume Leaders, QOH Adjustment and Profit Leaders the Date fields and drop down calendar are now using the advanced version seen on reports.

Fix: When using the Inventory Search to apply Mass Price Adjustments - Right click... Choose Price Adjustments..., the price movement record was not generated for the items. Only a shelf tag or Price label was generated. Now the system creates a price movement record with the reason set to Mass Price Adjustment.

Enhancement: Added 2 new Inventory Search elements. First is to find all products with duplicate alias codes. The second is to locate any products where the product code is found in an alias or the supplier item # is found on a different product.

Enhancement: Added a new PO Send format for the Pet Industry. Phillips Feed now has its own format that can be assigned to the Supplier and/or PO send window.

Version 6 Build 181029
Enhancement:
Added an advanced sort to the Purchase Order. Instead of sorting by clicking the header columns, you may now sort on multiple columns at once by using thhe right click Advanced sort...

Enhancement: Hide discontinued products from your supplier catalog by clicking the grid preferences icon in the bottom workbar.

Enhancement: Added a Department column (Target Department) to the Supplier Catalog list. If you want to bring in the department on your supplier catalogs it is now possible to include that column in your import file. When you add or update inventory you will have the option to assign the inventory department from what is designated in the catalog. It is also helpful to sort by Department to better see a breakdown of the types of items available in your catalog. To mass assign departments to a catalog with pre-existing items, you can right click and use the Set Target Department... option.

Enhancement: True EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) tendering is now available on non integrated systems. To activate EBT requires the Open Tender 2 text to be set to "EBT". This will then trigger an EBT evaluation of the ticket. If any items are EBT eligible from your inventory, then the tax will be removed for those items and the EBT eligible amount will be displayed on the payment pad. If not all items are EBT eligible, a balance due will be calculated for further tendering. Integrated EBT has not changed and automatically displays on the payement pad.

Enhancement: The EMV Chip credit card platform has been updated allowing merchants to disable the Amount OK? prompt at the beginning of a pin pad session. The result of disabling the amount OK speeds up the checkout for 2 reasons. 1) Obviously eliminating a prompt is automatcially saving precious time. 2) Customers often insert their card while ringing up. When the Amount OK Prompt is enabled, the remove card prompt is displayed followed by the Amount OK prompt?. Once verified they can finally insert their card. When disabled, the payment terminal will begin at the Insert, Slide or Tap Card prompt and accepts a previously inserted card. To edit this setting, see Retail Operations -> Merchant Panel -> Merchant E-Pay Setup and at the bottom uncheck/or check the Show Amount OK? Prompt.

Enhancement: Added the ability to import Min/Max adjustments from a text delimited file with Product Code, Min, and Max. (Do Not Include a Header Row)

Enhancement: Added a new setting in System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> POS Customer Settings Tab -> Customer Rules Tab. In the Phone Label section, you can now specify to default SMS Capable ON or Off by default. Originally, the system automatically set the SMS off for new customer records. When is this used? This is used by the EncomPos Email CRM subscription to push texts on defined events and activities. You may now set the send setting on each defined event to Email Only, Text Only, Try Text then Email or Send Both an email and text if an email is on file and a text phone # is on file. This can also be used to generate a list of customers with SMS capable phones by searching your customer rows and sorting by the new SMS capable column added to the search.

Enhancement: There is a new Worth Data RF (Radio Frequency) Handheld software available. The updated application supports full 15 line mode (from 6 line mode), color settings and activity level security. We have also added sign on security as well. Each activity provides more information and feedback to the operator.

Enhancement: Added the ability to set Return Amount Limits and Gift Card Amount Limits. When a limit is established, the system can then override the limit by setting a security permission for "Return Limit Override". See System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point Of Sale Options Tab -> Selling Behaviors Tab. See POS Limits at the bottom By default there is no return or gift card limit.

Fix: When paying off a trip/excursion that contained options linked to inventory (not standard options), the deposit reversal was not calculated correctly.

Fix: When Price Adjusting/Correcting an item that was already line discounted by %, the line discount was not recalculated based on the new price and % Off. The system now recalcs the discount amount. For example, a product rings for $4 and gets a 10% off discount. The discount line takes 40 cents off. Then a price adjust is made on the item to $3. The discount now gets adjusted to 30 cents off. Most stores secure price adjust so this is a rare but possible scenario. Originally you had to line void the discount and re-apply it. Arguably, why would you price adjust and discount on the same item unless the price was wrong and you did not notice until after your discount was applied. Obviously, Encompos does not recommend allowing any manual discounts as the system was designed to apply promotions, reward discounts, price levels, and special discounts automatically eliminating buddy pricing and employee cheating.

Enhancement: Added a new PO Print format for sending an order to your supplier. We now have one that includes Brand and Size. That makes 3 choices for your order PDF or print formats.

Enhancement: The Inventory Form View print out now includes Brand and Kitchen Item Status.

New: The customer search has a new criteria to list customers who are enrolled in an Accumulation Reward Program - choose the reward program in step 2 and the results will show customers who are enrolled or not enrolled in that reward program.

Enhancement: Inventory Search: When searching inventory for "In a Reward Program", the system orginally allowed for Yes or No. Now it has options to search "In a specific program", "Not In a Specific Program", "All Active Programs", "All Expired Programs" and "No".

Enhancement: When assigning a department to an inventory item, you have the option to apply default department settings. We have added the ability to apply commission settings from the department to the inventory item.

Enhancement: The EnTouch Email CRM service now supports any Email to SMS service. Originally, EncomPos only supported MessageMedia.com. EncomPos has tested with 2 additional services. They are ClickSend.com, and TextMagic.com. Feel free to choose from our 3 services or find any service that offers Email to SMS and you can specify which service you want to send Alerts and Notifications from. Click Send has the best price at less than 1 penny per text. To sign up for an account please use the follwing link.
http://clicksend.com/?u=56239

Fix: When building an accumulation Reward Program and assigning a promotional barcode, there was no way to unassign a barcode requirment. Now you can right click the row and choose Clear
Promotional Barcode...

Fix: Barcode style 13 had an error when previewing the tag.

Version 6 Build 180828
Enhancement: Added a new Document Center Graphs option. You may now choose to graph # products sold by hour. This can be all inventory or limited to a master department or sub department. The master department option graphs on the master department and all of its sub department activity under one label.

Enhancement: Improved the performance on the charter and trip sales report. In addition, the report originally picked up the customer assigned to the sale, but now it reports on the customer(s) within the sale that were signed up for the charter or trip. This means from a single sale where mutliple participants were signed up and paid for, you can now see the mutiple customer names on the report for any given transaction.

Enhancement: The EnTouch Email CRM service has a new feature to delay the pace at which emails are sent. Some email providers such as Microsoft Office 365 Outlook accounts have limits on how many emails can be sent per minute. They have a 30 per minute limit. Our email program can send at a pace up to 120 per minute. In order to not have your account temporarily locked, we have added a delay in seconds option. Also note that free email accounts such as Gmail are limited to 500 emails per day. So you may need to consider a few options. You can buy into a paid gmail account or utilize our mailjet email service that has high monthly limits at an nominal add on price. Buying into Google's Gsuite email service will extend your daily limits to 2,000. Please call us if you need more info.

New: Added support for Heartland Merchant processing. Now choose from WorldPay/Mercury or Heartland.

New: Added support for 2 more EMV payment terminals, the Ingenico iPP320 and iPP350. They are both similar to the Verifone VX805. The 320 is monochrome and the 350 is color.

The existing supported payment terminals are:
Verifone VX805, Ingenico iSC250, Ingenico iSC480, ID Tech Augusta EMV Swipe, Quest Windows 10 EMV Tablet POS Station.

Enhancement: Generating a Work Order for Rental Items is now possible by right clicking a rental code on the Rental Item page or right clicking Items on the Rental Service page.

Enhancement: Added additional send email accounts. You may now set up a separate email account for the following system activities.
1) Customer related emailing such as Manual Notifications, Quotes, Work Orders, Receipts, Special Orders, Rosters, Running Tabs and Line Of Credits Statements.

2) Purchase Orders.

3) EnTouch CRM Email Service (separate subscription based tool)

4) EnCorp Package Transfers and EnCorp Sync - sharing data between stores. (separate subscription service)

This has been expanded from 2 to 4 email accounts. Originally Customer, PO and Email CRM were all shared. See Syetem Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Email Setup. Note: The system assigns the default email account to all new email accounts on the software update, so no changes are required on this update unless you want to separate out your accounts.

A new option has been added to the email setup allowing you to assign a different reply to email account from the email sender account.

Change: Renamed Day Trip / Charter section of Retail Operations to Charters / Activities.

The EnTouch Email CRM service enhanced the x Days Before Birthday event to limit the email going ou based on lifetime spent as a range. So you can send 3 different emailers, Start with a Happy Birthday $5 coupon email for customers who have spent less than $500 dollars in your store, a 2nd email can be created to send an email with a $20 birthday coupon for customers who have spent between $500 and $1000 and a better deal for customers who have spent more than $1000. This is all customizable.

Enhancement: Improved the functionality of the Trip and Charter deposit window. The system now disables percentage buttons when it does not meet the minimum deposit requirement. We have also improved adding additional deposits after the intial deposit so that it defaults to the balance due rather than the minimum deposit or total.

Enhancement: Added the ability to take deposits on Charters / Activities just like Trips and Excursions.

Enhancement:
The EnTouch Email CRM service now includes a send option to attempt an SMS Text and if no phone # or No SMS Phone on file or failure to send text then email as a backup. This is in addition to the SMS Text Only, Email Only and Email and SMS Text options already in place.

Enhancement: When using our Scubaocity sync subscription service and also utilize the Email CRM service, any booked activities that you email confirmations for, will now include the scubaocity login credentials for customers being added to scubaocity for the first time. This requires adding the @SCUBAOCITY tag to the confirmation email template. Must be running Scubaocity sync version 180828 or later and EnTouch CRM version 180828 or later.

Version 6 Build 180801
Enhancement: Expanded the HTML email draft subject field length from 50 to 100. This allows for a more robust subject line.

Enhancement: When changing a customer assignment on the transaction journal or assigning a customer that was not assigned to the transaction at the Point of Sale, the system now checks to see if any items sold were serialized and assigns the updated or newly assigned customer to the serialized tracking data.

Enhancement: Added a link on the serial # listing in the Inventory Form View. The Not Sold - In Stock label is now clickable and allows you to assign the product to a transaction and mark it as sold. This is useful if the product was entered into the system as a non serialized item and later corrected. By providing this feature, you can now post assign the sale of a serial # that was sold. This link works in coordination with the transaction journal. The transaction must be highlighted in the journal and the product code must be on the ticket.

Enhancement: Added a new field "Add date" to the inventory serialized product view and associated reports. This will be assigned automatically when receiving serialized items on a purchase order and historical serial #'s can have their add date manully entered in the inventory form view serial tab.

New: A new report "Inventory Serial #'s" has been added to the Inventory reports section of the document center. This report displays unsold or all serial #'s grouped by Product Code, Department or Supplier.

Enhancement: Made improvements to the POS Activity Report - Inventory Serialized Sales.

Enhancement: Transaction Journal: When printing a Transaction Journal, the total line did not include the Account Payment and Net sales/Total receipts columns that are visible on the visual journal.

Fix: When selling an Assembly of type Linked Seller, the items contained in the assembly would sell for the assigned kit price designated in the Linked Seller tab of the inventory form view. So, if a linked seller kit contained 3 items...
1) $51.99 - Kit discount 50.00
2) $2.49 - Kit discount 2.00
3) $34.99 - Kit discount 30.00

A linked seller sells all of the individual items contained in the kit at the discounted price. If a customer was assigned to the ticket after the assembly was sold, the pricing would re-calc to see if the customer gets further discounts. If they did not, the system would assign the regular retail of the contained kit items adjusting up in this case to 51.99, 2.49 and 34.99. This was corrected to retain the kit price if the customer wasn't eligible for further discounts.

Enhancement: The EnTouch Email CRM service now includes an option to send HTML emails or SMS Text messages for cancellations of charters and trips. Right click an event on the calendar and choose send cancellation notice... Classes are coming soon. Note: This is a separate subscription. Click here to learn more about this product. This is great for daily activities like dive charters to instantly notify customers when Maritime conditions are too dangerous to keep a dive scheduled or your dive boat is non operational.

Enhancement: Purchase Orders/Inventory Order Analysis - When building a purchase order or analyzing order history/suggested order figures from inventory, the sales history box displayed a 30, 60 and 90 day history. It now includes a 180 day history plus the capability to view averages by day, week and month for 30, 60 90 and 180 days of history. Originally it always averaged for a 90 day period.

Enhancement: Purchase Orders - Added 2 new columns to the PO Items window of the sent PO's / ready to receive tab. The new columns are Invoice Qty and Off Invoice. This will allow you to assign the invoice quantity separate from the actual receive quantity. As a result, there is a new off count column displaying what is off from the invoice to what was actually received. When an invoice count is higher than the receive quantity, the system sets the reason off to Invoiced - Short or Invoiced - Not Received (only set when the system PO default off reason is not set to back ordered).

So for example, if a PO contains items with an order quantity of 10, the supplier invoice states they shipped 8, but the actual quantity received is 6, EncomPos Retail will show a total off count of -4 and an invoice off count of -2.
The invoice off count is back lit in red for invoice shortages and green for over shipped but not charged scenarios. If the invoice and receive quantity are the same but the received quantity is less than the order quantity the software will assign a reason of Short if some were delivered (New status) or Not Shipped (if none were delivered).

3 New Reason off options were added.
1) Short (receive quantity less than ordered but not zero.
2) Invoiced - Short (displays when the receive qty is less than the invoice qty but some were shipped)
3) Invoiced - Not Recv'd. (displays when the invoice qty is non zero and the receive qty is zero)
4) Not Shipped (Existing status but is only displayed when the invoice quantity shows zero shipped and the receive quantity is also zero.

The image below displays some of the new dynamics that can be acheived when adjusting both invoice and receive quantities.

To assist in automating this process, there are now 3 options on the right click of the PO. The first is Process Supplier Invoice File... This will zero out all Invoice and Receive quantities and process one of several supported file formats to apply invoice quantities to the PO. When this file is processed, the receive quantity is adjusted to the invoice quantity. Additionally, some formats contain cost and updated descriptions data that can be applied to catalogs and the PO.
The 2nd and 3rd options are to Process a Store Scan Receive File or against an RF handheld scan data table (requires a worth data RF handheld for option 3). After processing the scan data, the PO will display what was ordered, invoiced, and received plus differentiate between what was invoiced and what was actually received with clear indicators to what is off as shown above.

Also included is a new report "PO Invoice Discrepancy" that is available from the completed PO tab. This report lists all items that were shorted or not shipped from the supplier and the total cost of those items. The discrepancy report can also be emailed to your supplier rep directly.

Enhancement: Purchase Orders - when applying a supplier receive file or store scan receive file against a purchase order, and the product code was scanned in multiple times with different quantities, the system now combines and sets the receive quantity to the sum of all entries in the file. Originally, the system expected each product to be in once with a total receive quantity. This is not true for processing handheld scans, as the entered receive quantity was always added to the existing count each time the RF scanned the product and found that product with a receive quantity already applied during the check in process.

Enhancement: Purchase Orders - added Min and Max reorder values to the Purchase Order Unsent Worksheet. Easily adjust a products min/max value as you are building and analyzing orders. This can be a huge time saver for stores that require constant attention to these values for optimal reorder points.

Enhancement: When applying a supplier receive file against a purchase order, if the product code in the supplier file is an alias code in EncomPos, the EncomPos Retail now matches the alias to the master product code to locate the corresponding product on the PO.

Fix: Saving PO column adjustments for width, position and visibility did not always save correctly therefore not loading the adjusted layout when viewing a PO. If columns have been addded, it is necessary to click the Reset Layout... option from the Grid Preferences pop up menu by clicking the bottom workbar icon.

Then you can re-build the terminal layout and save it. Terminal layouts will automatically load with the PO. To
assign the same layout across multiple terminals, save the layout as a global layout and load it at other stations then save as its terminal layout. Global layouts do not automatically load, but can be loaded on demand.

Fix: When printing a work order, the tax displayed even if the customer was tax exempt. This only effected the print out.

Version 6 Build 180627
Enhancement: Improved load performance of the Scuba calendar. If it is not loading super fast, this update should generate a monthly calendar faster than ever. Almost instantaneous. Yes!!

Enhancement: Adding a security delete log entry when deleting brands. The entry lists the brand ID + brand name. See Security -> Delete/Modified Records.

Enhancement: Adding a security delete log entry for deleting a class. The entry lists the class # + class name + class date. See Security -> Delete/Modified Records.

Enhancement: Adding a security delete log entry for reversing a dropped customer in a class. The entry lists the customer restored and the class + class date that the customer was restored to. See Security -> Delete/Modified Records.

Enhancement: Made it easier to clear the alias codes from an inventory item by introducing a delete icon next to each of the 4 main alias codes. Originally you had to clear the field entry by pressing the delete key when focus was in one of the alias columns.

Enhancement: When deleting an instructor, the system did not validate if the instructor was assigned to future classes. Now EncomPos will warn the user and ask if they want that instructor re-assigned on future classes.

Enhancement: When re-assigning the primary instructor on a master class definition, the system now prompts if you would like to reassign all session instructors to the new primary instructor for any session that is assigned to the original primary instructor.

Enhancement: Rental Check-Ins now prompt prior to charging a late fee. The prompt message displays the late fee amount, the # days, hours or minutes late, and the late fee amount per day, hour or minute. The fee can be bypassed, thus eliminating the need to line void the late fee that was automatically added to the receipt ticket. Late fees are only calculated for rentals with the late fee option enabled.

Enhancement: The EnCorp Sync Multi-store now synchronizes the brand table across stores. Included is an option to lock local edits of the brand table so duplicate ID's are not generated for different brands. Additionally, you can now include synchronizing inventory item brand assignments as a separate sync option instead of being lumped in the descriptive sync changes. You can also disable /enable syncing Min/Max settings separate from reorder method.

Enhancement: The EnTouch Email CRM service now includes an option to send HTML receipts that include logos, graphics and the transaction purchase within the email body of the receipt. This will also eliminate the need to wait the 1-3 seconds at the Point of Sale to send live receipts as it will be off loaded to the PC running the email service. Please inquire about Entouch CRM services as we have expanded the offering to automate emailing for over 40 customizable events, activities and reminders. Click here to learn more about this product.

Enhancement: You may now view and apply MAP price from a catalog when using the supplier link on the form view of an inventory item.

Fix: The system now blocks adding Assembly items to a PO with the exception of the Fusion assembly item which is an item that fuses / sells other items automatically when scanned at the point of sale and is a "real inventory item". A Kit and Linked Seller assembly types are blocked because they are not inventory, but rather a set of contained "real" inventory items that are ordered independently.

Version 6 Build 180530
Fix: When taking a line of credit account payment and placing the transaction on hold, the recall of the transaction failed to adjust the line of credit balance on their account record upon completeing the sale/transaction.

Fix: When taking a deposit on a work order and the customer had a pop-up note/screen message reminder, the deposit was reset to zero and a new amount had to be entered.

Fix: When launching Retail Operations from the Point of Sale (pad button), the POS window would position itself on top of the Retail Operations window 30 seconds after launch and you had to click the window to bring it back to the top.

Fix: Labels and Tags. When printing from the inventory search using the Print Tags Now... option, the tag color and price positions were not set on the printed tag that is established from the document center where you can modify font type faces, font sizes, price positions and font colors.

Fix: Labels and Tags. When printing tags from the purchase order receive window, the tags did not print when set to Print Receive Quantity. It worked on Print 1 or Print Quantity On Hand.

Enhancement: You may now preview generated tags from the Print Tags Now window within the inventory search and the PO tag print.

Enhancement: You may now print tags in a purchase order from the printer icon on the toolbar. This can be done for items in the pending receive tab or the completed tab.

Enhancement: Added a feature to set font colors for price, description, sale label and the you pay label (for Promotion Specialty Tags only). This will only apply to color printers. All Roll Label printers are black and white only and this setting will only lighten the font on some models and do nothing on others.

Fix: When applying the Price Per Unit on the Special Promotion Shelf Tag (#10), the unit price was calculated against the item's retail when generating the Shelf Tag. This has been fixed to calculate the Unit Price based on the sale price shown in the bottom part of the hanging sale portion of the label.

Fix: The Specialty promotion tag's You Pay Price for items put on promotion using the volume discount option was displaying the regular retail. The label now reflects the Buy x for $ each price or the Buy x Get $ off each price rather than the base retail. All other promotion pricing methods always worked. Customers utilizing this tag must realize the You Pay price is only valid when they meet the minimum buy in. In the example below, the retail will be .60 cents if the customer only buys 1.

Enhancement: Changed the Tag price look for product prices under $1.00. The tag now displays a larger font with the ¢ symbol. See Image below for a preview of the change.

Version 6 Build 180430
Fix: When defining a promotion with items using the "Use Price Level" option, the promotion retail displayed on the item in the promotion detail list was the retail rather than the price level. This did not affect the Point of Sale promotion price as that was still correct.

New: A new option has been added to disable prompting to email receipts for walk-in customers when the print and email or email only setting is selected in the Thermal / Full Page Receipt Printer Rules setting section. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Receipt Options-> General Settings Tab.

New: A new Accumulation Rewards report has been added displaying a summary of all rewards given by program for a date range. See Document Center -> Customer Reports -> Accumulation Rewards. The new option is Reward Summary Report.

Enhancement: Customer Search: Added a new search criteria to display all customers without a visit in x days. Also improved the last visit, first visit and email mod date options so you can state less than, greater than, equal to, not equal to and between dates. Originally it was only between dates.

Enhancement: PO Notes: When adding notes on a purchase order, the system did not refresh the note column to show the new note or changes until you moved off and back on the PO. Now it is instant and also includes the ability to hover over the note to see its full contents without having to double click the note to open it.

Enhancement: EncomPos Retail now auto refreshes calendars, open rosters and the retail overview across all stations when the window or page is open at other stations. So, if multiple stations have the Scuba Calendar open and a new event is added or a person reserves or signs up, the calendar auto refreshes at the other stations within a few seconds. This will help with over booking and staying current (without intervention) at stations that keep the calendar open all day. It is especially useful for customers utilizing Scubaocity for on line reservations, as the calendar will now auto refresh those changes as well. The retail overview will also auto refresh as sales are made at the POS without having to press F5 or the refresh icon to refresh manually.

Change: Beginning 4/1/2018, VISA, M/C and AMEX have all expanded the no signature requirement from transactions over $50 dollars to no longer requiring a signature for any credit card transaction for any amount. You were able to setup a maximum amount for no signature in the Merchant Epay Setup screen in Retail Operations. This only worked against a signature capture pin pad including the Ingenico iSC250 and iSC480. Now we have also added this setting to apply to printed signature slips
for the Verifone VX805 and the encrypted Augusta Swipe from Magtek. Any transaction over $999.00 will still require a signature at this time. You can set that amount to any amount under and up to $999.00 as decided by your organization. EncomPos still recommends capturing a signature for transaction exceeding $200 so that you can better fight any chargebacks that may occur.

Version 6 Build 180409
Fix: When line discounting a product by % then changing the qty of the discounted item after the line discount, the POS would not update the discounted amount to match the new quantity. For example, if you sold a product at $2.00 with a 10% line discount, the line discout will be 20¢. If you then update the qty to 2 on the discounted item, the price goes to $4.00 but the discount stayed at 20¢ instead of adjusting to 40¢. Note: Dollar ($) line discounts remain the same regardless of quantity sold.

Enhancement: Added a new quick link "Last Date" in the date picker drop down used throughout EncomPos. This will set the date or date range to the last one selected. This is useful for quickly utilizing the same date selection across multiple reports without setting the date manually in the calendar. We have also made a single date selection from the calendar section of the date picker faster by automatically selecting and closing the date picker drop down when a day is clicked in the calendar.

Version 6 Build 180403
Enhancement: Expanded the serial number size from 40 characters to 100.

Enhancement: Added a barcode to the work order print out. Located in the upper right under the work order # is the barcode. Scan it at the Point of Sale to open the work order directly.

Enhancement: Work orders. When scanning a product on the work order to find any parts or services, the system now includes searching alias codes.

Enhancement: The Security Delete/Modified Records Log now has a find toolbar button to quickly locate a deleted ID code in the list.

Enhancement:
The trip diving agreement now includes an improved dive itinerary. The itinerary will not display at all if no dives are scheduled. In that case the red outlined area below will be hidden.

Enhancement: Special Orders: When finalizing a special order entry, the system displayed the Special Order details at the bottom of the both the full page and thermal receipt generated copies.
We have added a subtotal and total line to this display. It originally only showed the items special ordered and their price with a tax indicator followed by a set of total lines including tax, deposit and balance.

Enhancement: Special Orders: The tax is now displayed on each item in addition to the total tax calculated in the footer of the special order on screen display within the special order wizard.

Enhancement: Special Orders: You may now select more than 1 special order item per search. The system originally would only allow one item to be added to the special order per search.

Fix: Special Orders: When building a special order and tax3 or tax4 are being used on the item ordered, the system would not add the tax to any item but the first one on the special order. This only impacted the special order deposit receipt displaying the incorrect total estimated tax. However, once picked up the special order tax was calculated correctly.

Fix: Special Orders: The minimum deposit amount is selected by default when prompting for the deposit amount. If this value was changed to any other value, the minimum deposit button did not set the deposit to a minimum value when pressed again.

New: A new reporting category has been added to the system. Under system configuration -> Drop Down Options, there is a new Sales Category builder. Build an unlimited number of levels in a hierarchical structure and tie the category to a department by selecting the category in the department form view. This will be used to report consolidated figures or to better match a Quickbooks chart of accounts layout. Once configured, a new POS Activity report is available (Sales By Category) that rolls up to the new sales category accounts. For any category created, there is an option to break down that category into sales, refunds and discounts. You can also include cost of goods sold by category, Profit Margin by category and total freight for date range.

Fix: When printing labels and tags, there are 5 save text formats. The 5 text formats are:
1) ** Save $
2) Reg. $ Save $
3) Save $
4) #% Off $
5) Reg: $
When set to #5 - Reg: $, the price was the savings not the original regular retail.

New: Added the ability to accept Tips/Gratuity on the new EMV Platform. Requires a pinpad. Enabling Gratuity will always prompt for a tip during the card acceptance process. So it's either on or off. The customer will be presented with 3 new prompts. The first is after the Sale OK for amount prompt Yes/No and asks if they want to add a tip Yes/No. Second is the tip amount and third is to reconfirm the sale total with tip. A new tip window will be available to associates so they can see tips earned from credit card transactions and cash out/pay out those tips from the cash drawer.

Version 6 Build 180312

Enhancement: Improved the EnCorp HQ Package Center. It now includes the ability to transfer accumulation reward programs and eligible items to other stores.

Enhancement: Added speed improvements to the Inventory Valuation report. Added a button to show all Valuations stored in the system. When the window loads, you can view the report by clicking any date from the list.

Fix: The Inventory Valuation report broke from the 180115 Update. The Drop Down Calendar was replaced with a newer version and would not load the report for selected dates.

Version 6 Build 180221
Enhancement: Quick Customer lookups have been improved. Instead of having to press the now removed yellow icon to load/edit a customer or double click the search row, you can now select a search row from a single click and it will load the selected customer immediately for using or editing. This eliminates entering partial customer names and pressing OK, thus adding a partially entered new customer. We have also adding a notice informing the associate when an existing customer name has been changed and gives them the opportunity to undo the changes. This can happen if they loaded a customer but meant to add a new one and did not pay attention. If you have selected an existing customer and wish to add a new one instead, you can click the erase form link or click the eraser icon to reset the form.

Fix: Renting an item for more than 35 days did not draw properly on the rental calendar and sometimes cause an error to be displayed.

New: Accumulation Rewards feature. You can now specify to reward a product coupon which ties back to the coupon generator programs. Build a coupon and tie specific products that will be eligible for the coupon to work. In the Accumulation Rewards page, you can set the reward to product coupon and select the coupon that ties the programs together. Coupons require a Receipt Printer to generate the reward. The full sheet receipt/invoice does not work at this time.

New: Two new security permission settings have been added under Loyalty Programs. The first is to secure the Product Card Programs page, and the 2nd is to secure the new Coupon Generator Programs page. See Security -> Permission Control.

Enhancement: You may now change the Accumulation Reward coupon expiration date for any customer issued a coupon from the reward program. Right click any coupon in the Retail Operations -> Loyalty Programs -> Reward Coupon Tracking list and select Change Expiration Date.

Enhancement: Added the ability to re-activate a retired associate/employee account. Click on the edit icon to open edit mode. Then click the re-activate link on the associate to un-retire. The system now records a security modified record entry for retiring and re-activating an associate. Now you can see when and who performed the retirement or activation. See Security - Delete/Modified records.

Enhancement: Added the ability to manually add a customers initial Accumulation Reward balance. Right click a customer from customer list within the Accumulation Rewards page. See Retail Operations -> Loyalty Programs -> Accumulation Rewards.

Enhancement: Added the ability to manually adjust a customers Accumulation Reward balance. Right click the customer name in the customer quick stats list. Choose from the options menu. Set the products purchased, or just set a count/qty. See Retail Operations -> Loyalty Programs -> Accumulation Rewards.

New: Two new security permission settings have been added under Accumulation Rewards. The first is to secure adding/initializing a customer start balance and the 2nd is to secure adjusting an existing balance for a customer. They are defaulted to locked out for all EncomPos user accounts.

New: Two new security permission settings have been added under Line of Credit Accounts. The first is to secure deleting a line of credit account and the 2nd is to secure Adjusting a LOC balance. They are defaulted to locked out for all EncomPos user accounts.

Enhancement: Added the Account # to the signature slip on a line of credit account charge. This system originally printed the Customer # and account holder's name. Now it includes the Line of Credit Account #.

New: Added more information to the customer credits and balances window triggered from the money icon at the Point of Sale. It now contains unpaid past and future activities for pet and. This includes activities, appointments, events, classes, trips and charters. easily see a summary of all outstanding balances for the customer. There is also a show details... link that displays all of the unpaid or balance due activities broken down by activity and date.

New:
When using a point based system for an accumulation report program, you can set a default point ratio calculated from the item retail. As an override, you can also set the point value on the inventory item. This had to be set on each inventory item that required a unique point value. In order to speed up this process, you can now use the More Mass Update right click option menu from the inventory search and choose Set Point Values... In this window you can set a ratio that generates a point value or set an exact point value for multiple items in one shot. For example, to set a point value to half the retail, you can set the ratio to .5 and the system will generate a point value equal to half the retail price.

Version 6 Build 180115
Fix: When adding a group reservation to a trip or charter, the group leader was always assigned as the active customer for the receipt ticket. This would override an active transaction's customer when only a reservation was needed. The system will now only assign a customer when making a payment, deposit or cancellation with a refund.

Fix: When selling an alias with a qty multiplier for the main product code and the main product code was a fusion assembly item, the qty multiplier was ignored and it only sells 1 of the assembly item rather than the qty assigned in the alias.

Fix: Integrated EBT had issues when selecting the EBT Foodstamp or the EBT Cash sub tender button. It had to be selected twice to activate.

Fix: The POS Activity report Returns By Customer had a link to view the original receipt. The receipt view did not size correctly and cut off the right side of the receipt.

Fix: The full page receipt did not display your store logo when emailing a full page receipt and the default logo folder was not used. The default logo folder is the install directory of EncomPos Retail. This can be changed in Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Network Locations tab. Here you can set a logo folder location. If you are a multi-station environment it is best to share a folder on the network and map the other computers to the designated folder.

Version 6 Build 180103
Enhancement: Added a new parameter to the Accumulation Rewards definition. You may now specify if a reward is given multiple times per transaction (if qualified) or limit to 1 per transaction. The default original behavior gave multiple per transaction.

Fix: The Trip roster in Retail Operations total line included base cost and total cost tallies for cancelled/dropped customers. This has now been excluded from the totals line.

Version 6 Build 171217
New: Supplier Catalogs - You may now import a list of products to discontinue from a catalog. Click Import File from the toolbar and choose the discontinue Items Option. It should be a file containing a header row and 1 column of products (either product codes/UPC/GTIN or Supplier Item #'s). Choose the column to map against and select the discontinue file option to begin discontinuing rows. This also has an option to discontinue inventory items that exist for the set of catalog items being discontinued. Additionally, you can now edit and set discontinued status manually on catalog rows and you can force the discontinued status to inventory from the Update Inventory window.

New: Added a new customer custom field. You may name the custom field and use it for anything. Max 256 characters. To name the custom field see Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> POS Customer Settings Tab -> Customer Rules Tab.

New: Added a new customer and inventory search element. 4 new operators have been added to common code and descriptive search criteria. You may now declare the operator as Containing OR, Beginning With OR, Equal to OR and ending In OR. This allows you to specify multiple criteria in one shot. For example, in a customer last name search, you can choose Equal to OR and enter Smith or Johnson. The result set will include last names equal to Smith or Johnson. This can still be accomplished by using the append to step 4 setting and search for each last name separate This will append each new match to the existing list building the "or" list in easy steps.

Fix: Associate Commission report by Profit Margin Levels. The report calculated the commission percent based on the profit margin of the item sold. When that item was manually discounted, it generated a second entry to negate the commission by the discount. The error occurred when calculating what percent to use on the discount. Since the margin was negative, it defaulted to the top commission percent. This caused some commissions to be calculated lower for the associate. The system now combines manual discounts into the items price at time of sale and then calculates the correct commission percent based on the net margin. This did not affect automated discounted items. i.e. grid discounts, promotions and price levels.

Fix: Fixed an error when printing Special Promotion Tags. Tag #10. This is the shelf tag specialty stock. When previewing the tag, there was an error when including MSRP on the tag.

Enhancement: The Customer Display now has the option to disable ads and show a full screen receipt.
Additionally, there are now themes to choose from to better tailor the display to your store colors. You may also assign a large logo that displays between transactions. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point Of Sale Options Tab - > Customer Display Tab

Enhancement: Added a new inventory global option to set taxes on and off. This has been added as an easier way to globally set taxes. There still exists the ability to set taxes at the department level and having that setting carry to all inventory within that department. If you are looking to quickly set taxes on all your inventory or across multiple departments, this will be faster than the department tax distribution method.

Enhancement: Added support for In Counter Scanner/Scales. Any OPOS compliant hardware will work.

Enhancement: Added My Account # to the importable fields when using the import supplier feature to build your supplier list. See Retail Operations -> Supplier List View. Right click and choose import...

Enhancement: The POS Pad Layout has been expanded to add buttons as the software is resized horizontally. When running resolutions exceeding 1024x768, such as 1440x900 or 1920x1080 resolution, you now have extra columns of buttons that display as you resize the application. In addition, the number of direct Product Ring buttons has been expanded from 30 per page up to 80 per page. We have also made it easier to assign products by clicking an inventory lookup button to assign direct ring products rather than typing the product code. The system will also build the button description labels automatically which can then be adjusted if necessary.

Version 6 Build 171009
Enhancement: The Zip Code Report now displays % of total sales and has an option to group by customer group. There is also an advanced sort that will enable you to perform compound multi column sorting instead of sorting just by header column.

Enhancement: The inventory search contains a new criteria to display items that have No Retail Price Change
by date and time. This will be useful to display products that were not affected by a catalog update.

New: Added a setting to allow the cash drawer to open on check tendered transactions. This will aid customers that have a cash drawer without slots or prefer to place the checks in the top till. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point Of Sale Options Tab - > Tendering Rules Tab.

Enhancement: Image/PLU Selling now has a back office setting to default whether to ring and close or select multiple items to ring. In addition, the image sell window can ring items from one category and remain open to select another category. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point Of Sale Options Tab - > Selling Behaviors Tab

Enhancement: Express Sellers now has a back office setting to default whether to ring and close or select multiple items to ring.

New: A new tag label size of 1.5" x .5" has been added to the system. This brings the number of product label/shelf tag sizes supported to 20.

Enhancement: The Department Sales report has new grouping options By Month and By Customer Group. You can display the report by all departments or rolled up to the master departments.

Enhancement: The total button on the Point of Sale can be assigned custom labels. They include Total (default), Pay, Finish and Tender. See System Configuration -> POS Pad Layout in Retail Operations. Click the change label link to assign the label text.

Fix: When creating a new work order, the screen displays a legend box of how to add services, parts and other inventory. If you scanned or searched regular inventory this hint box would not disappear, thus overlaying the work order screen at the top until you closed and reopened it.

Version 6 Build 170825
Enhancement: Added a group by department option on the Merchandise Sales Report.

Fix: There were circumstances where the tax was calculated correctly on the ticket, but the saved transaction's tax column was 1cent lower because it saved it without it rounding to the nearest penny thus truncating half pennies when it should have rounded up. For example, if a product sells for 29.00 and has tax set to 7.5%, the tax calculated was 2.18. The actual tax is 2.175. So the stored tax on the saved transaction was 2.17, while the system correctly collected and charged 2.18. This only affected quickbooks export data, as it would generate a file that was out of balance by 1 cent.

Change: When receiving a Purchase Order that contains special order items, the pop up reminder window now has size / attribute data. In addition, the cost column has been removed for customers who print the slip and attach it to the special order item that the customer picks up.

New: You may now place an option item on hold and a recall will reload all of the option selections. You may also set a quantity on kitchen order items and have the kitchen ticket generate multiple order items to match the quantity sold.

Enhancement: Added the ability to live search work order parts. EncomPos has also added a new Work Order Service lookup window. Select your service category or search all services and live search by description or product code.

Fix: Building recurrences on classes did not copy the session type setting to future classes. This is a setting on the session level that replaced the location field with a drop down list of pre-populated session types.

Fix:
Lookup Product By Brand did not have header sorting enabled on the inventory result list. You can now sort by any column just like the other lookup windows.

Enhancement: Sorted the Work Order Service Notes alphabetically. The drop down list was displayed in entry order which offers no advantage over an alphabetical sort.

Enhancement
: Added the ability to set your inventory discontinued color. Click the Grid Preferences icon in the bottom work bar of your inventory search. Choose Set Discontinued Row Color... This setting will be saved for your terminal/PC

Version 6 Build 170726

Enhancement: Special Orders: When receiving a Purchase Order that contains special order items, the pop up reminder window now contains a button to email the customer that the order is ready for pickup. The Customers -> Special Orders section of Retail Operations now has a few new print options and the ability to email your customer at any time from this page.

Enhancement: Improved the customer merge feature. You may now preview key information about each customer in the merge process. Evaluate the add date, life time spent, total visits, past and future trips and classes, LOC balances, Accumulation Reward activity, open Work Orders, Memberships, Punch Cards and if there is a credit card on file. Use this info to better determine which customer to keep. The merge now combines address, city, state, zip, email and phone information if the customer being merged into is missing any of this information and it is contained on a customer being removed.

Enhancement: On the Point of Sale main screen you have the option to change the on-screen receipt from the default "Detail View" and the new "Simple View". This is accomplished by clicking the S and D links at the bottom of the on-screen receipt. The option to default your view was not available until now. See System Configuration-> Retail Environment-> Point of Sale Options Tab -> Selling Behaviors tab. Then see the Default POS On Screen Receipt box. The default is and always was Detailed View.

Fix: The Work Order window from the Point of Sale was falling behind the Sales screen when opening an existing work order.

Enhancement: You can now scan/enter the supplier codes when building a work order in addition to product codes to find a service, product or part.

New: The Check for software updates has been automated to check every x days. The # days can be set in System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Software Updates tab.

Change: A new icon has replaced the print payment and balance sheet on the charter and trip roster. The old icon was The new icon is . The new icon better represents the purpose of the report, which is to display a roster with payment, options, discounts and balance information.

New: A new feature is available on the charter and trip roster that provides a means to create a group from individual reservations after they are already signed up. Click the icon to link reservations into a group.

Enhancement: Improved the Monthly Sales report. Added a total sales for the year, summarizing all months together. There is also a summary and detail monthly POS Activity report. The summary is a one line per month report that includes some monthly stats that are not on the detail, while the detail breaks out sales & returns and also includes deposits, taxes and net receipt columns.

Enhancement: Improved the performance of the promotion zone and made it easier to build mix-n-match volume discounts.

Enhancement: You may now secure editing the price of a class, charter and trip. See Security -> Permission Control. Under Scuba Diving there is Class Pricing, Charter Pricing and Excursion Pricing section. Secure these elements to lock down post creation price changing. To secure editing the base price for a customer use the POS Price Adjust security option.

Enhancement: Group Drops have now been simplified on the scuba calendar. In order to drop the entire group, you must drop from the group leader. If you select any group guest, it will only allow a drop of that person within the group. You may now hold back a penalty or retain the full or partial payment from a group drop. This feature was already on the Individual drop.

New: Coupon Generator Programs. A new loyalty tool is available that allows you to generate a receipt coupon based on specific products purchased. The coupon can expire in x days, on a specific date or never. The coupon can only be used against a set of products assigned in the program as redeemable. The Point of Sale will not allow the coupon to be redemmed without a qualifying product on the ticket. See Loyalty Programs -> Coupon Generator Programs

The coupon will print below the main receipt. Sample coupons will be included in the release. Both a raw Photoshop .psd and a finalized 8 bit grayscale bitmap (BMP) file can be found in the My Imports folder of your root drive.

Enhancement: You may now activate a price symbol on your tags. This will place a $ or one of a variety of foreign currency symbols in front of your tag price. To enable this feature, see System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Labels and Tags tab. For each listed stock, there is a drop down to show the price symbol.

Enhancement: When Editing the Express Sellers Page, the Refresh button refreshes the data and now re-sorts by Express Page then Express Sort Order. It originally just reloaded the data without resetting the sort.

Version 6 Build 170619
New: Purchase orders - Advanced Sort and Filter. You may now right click on the Purchase Orders and set an advanced sort (allowing you to sort by multiple columns simultaneously (instead of just simple column header sorts) and filter out data. For example in the historical PO's there is now a filter where you can specify to filter on supplier name to show only PO's for a particular supplier. Also the PO notes are now viewable in the historical View.

New: You may now search inventory for "On Backorder" status.

New: Product Card programs - Dive Card, Trip Card and Class Card now have a new rule that allows for cards to be deducted up to a maximum amount and any event over that amount will be charged the difference. It is named "Any Dive Credit Up To". We also now let you specify a minimum event amount so that less expensive events are not always free. It would be unfair to buy into a dive card where each dive is worth $85 dollars and they sign up for a snorkel trip that is $40 and it deducts from their card and applies that snorkel trip for free. But it's up to you how you define the rules. In the example below, any dive over $85 will be charged the difference only and any dive under $60 will not apply. Leave the minimum zero if all dives are included. If a dive is $90 dollars (night dive) they will be charged $5.00 and a deduction will be made to the electronic punch card.

Fix: The POS receipt emailer did not pick up the security setting for TLS/StartTLS. This would cause emails to fail when the TLS setting was required by your email provider / ISP.

New: There are two new default settings for the scuba manifest. First, you can now default the manifest to open in detailed or simple view. The application opened the manifest in detail and you would have to switch to the simple view. Second, the manifest opened to showing all customers and you would have to check the hide non-checked in customers box to change the roster view. You may now set a default for both settings. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Industry Settings -> Manifest settings box. These settings can still be changed while viewing the manifest.

Version 6 Build 170608
New: If you are running multiple POS Stations, but share a single cash drawer or want to start and close a single shift each day, you had to previoulsy assign the same terminal # to each of those stations. This could be conflicting if you have different hardware configurations and different startup screens and selling modes at those stations. To improve this, there is now a setting in Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> EncomPos Terminals called "Ring As" that lets you assign a terminal to ring all sales plus start and end all shifts as another terminal. For example, if you had Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 set up as POS stations you could set terminal 2 to Ring As terminal 1. This will combine the stations into a single shift for tracking purposes, but maintain each of their individual hardware settings and remove the need to start and closeout mulitple shifts.

Enhancement: You may now search for customer signups from the 7 day and 3 day calendar view instead of having to toggle to the monthly view for searching.

Enhancement: The work order email had preset subject and body text. You can now specify a dynamic subject and dynamic body content. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> POS Customer Settings then click the customer orders tab and fill out the new information. Note: to automate work order emails as well as 35 other built in email tasks with full HTML support, we recommend utilizing our new EnTouch CRM Automation email system. It is a separate subscription charge. To see how it can help automate your business, take a look at our site page for more information on this feature.

Version 6 Build 170601
Fix: When ordering or printing tags/labels and the print/order quantity was set to "on hand" instead of "order 1" or "order last received count", the system would still order one tag/label for zero on hand inventory. The system now ignores items with a QOH of zero. To order a tag for 0 on hand items, choose order 1 tag. If you need more than 1 tag/label, change the tag qty in the order window or print the tag multiple times from the print tag now window.

Fix: If your system setting for Inventory Valuation and Selling is set to FIFO (First In, First
Out), there was a problem when calculating the On hand for the sold FIFO point. It sometimes calculated a zero on hand when it should have been higher. This caused the inventory valuation to shrink beyond expected values.

Fix
: If you are logged into the Point of Sale, then use the Retail Ops button to launch the back office application, the permission settings are loaded for the back office user thus overriding the POS user's credentials. This would cause security stamps and rights to be assigned to the back office user. This was only an issue if the 2 user accounts for both sides of the system were different. Also, if the terminal setting for selling mode is set to shared terminal instead of dedicated cashier, the system would correct the permissions when a new cashier sign in

occurs, but the back office users credentials would be set to the POS associate permissions. To correct this, the system now dynamically loads security based on which part of the application has focus.

New: Generate a Google Calendar Import File... Customers not utilizing the Scubaocity sync for on line reservations, have the ability to generate a Google calendar import file from the charters, trips, and classes section of Retail Operations. Right click on any of the back office active lists and choose Generate Google Calendar Import File.. Choose which events/activities to export and the system will prompt for a file name. Once saved, go to your Google Calendar from a PC. (Google does not allow importing calendar elements on a tablet or phone) In the top right click settings (gear icon). Open the Calendars tab (link). Click import calendar (between the "My Calendars" and "Other Calendars" sections.) Click choose file and select the generated file for import. Click import. The google calendar is a view only calendar. Customers cannot sign up from a google calendar. Search google for how to add a google calendar to your website.

Version 6 Build 170518
Enhancement: When applying a discount % to rows in a PO, the system now provides an option to apply the discount to all rows or selected rows.

Enhancement: The EnCorp Sync software now updates stores that participate in receiving Inventory Changes with merged product codes. This will merge the same products in all other stores and add entries in the deleted modified records with the user name EnCorp Sync for clarity.

Enhancement: The labels & Tags section of the document center now supports multiple barcode sizes and allows adjustments to the margin and spacing of a tag. click the ... button to tweak your labels settings if your printer is not feeding the paper as expected or your barcode is not reading with your scanner. To reset to default settings click the blue reset icon next to the labels of each section.

Fix: Avery medium sheet label tags (style 5195, 8195) encompos style #13 had an alignment issue in the tag settings. The tag column gap was incorrectly set to1/4" when it should have been .3 inches.

Change: Purchase Order worksheets/review sheets, supplier order printouts and historical PO reports now displays an indicator for the order qty as each or case for clarification. The Send sheeets (what gets emailed or faxed to the supplier) also contain the case qty next to the case indicator text.

Enhancement: The inventory search export feature now has the case price field as an exportable column.

Change: When editing an inventory assembly item (specifically the Kit assembly type), the included item(s) cost was displaying as each cost. We have converted that cost figure to represent the part qty cost. If the cost was $10 and the part quantity was .5 then the calculated and displayed part cost will be $5 instead of 10. Likewise, if the part quantity is 2 the part cost will be $20. This is only used to evaluate the kits selling retail and to better assess a base cost for the kit.

More POS Direct Ring Buttons: Expanded the number of Direct Rings from 30 total to 30 per page. With 4 pages max, that now brings the maximum number of direct ring assignments to 120.

Fix: On Work Orders there is an under warranty checkbox. When that is checked, the work order zeros out the retail price for the part. However, when that work order was picked up, the cost used in the transactionn was the inventory cost and did not zero out the cost when under warranty. This change eliminates negative profit margin scenarios in your sales report.

New: Added the ability to merge product codes. Right click on the selected rows from your inventory search and choose Merge Products... A window will open requesting the user to select the product to merge all other chosen products into. This will update all historical Transactions, Price Movement Records, Purchase Orders, Accumulation Rewards Program Eligible Products, PLU Codes, Promotions, Layaways and Serialized Item Tracking will be updated with the retained product code. There is an option to merge current QOH counts as well. Use discretion when using this feature.

Enhancement: When changing a product code on an inventory item, the system now places the old code in one of the available alias fields for reference and to allow previously barcoded products that may exist on your store shelves to be sold without re ordering a barcode tag. In addition, the security Deleted/Modified records page now records all product code changes for reference.

Enhancement: The EnCorp Sync software now applies product code changes to stores participating in the sharing of inventory items across the chain or franchise.

New: The inventory adjustment reports have 3 new summary variants to view. You may now summarize by Movement Reason, Department or Supplier. All other reports were detail views grouped by product.

Fix: The Captain Schedule report was grouped by captain name, but had no additional sort within the captain group. It now sorts by depart date then by depart time.

Change: The work order wizard has been retired. If you have the WO Wizard button on your POS Pad it will now launch the new Work Order Module.

New: When renaming a customer, the system now logs the name change in the Security Deleted/Modified Records. It displays the original name and the new name as well as the date and user id who made the change.

New: Added a check box in System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Receipt Options Tab -> Thermal Roll Receipt Printer Tab -> Print Start Shift Drawer Slip is now an option to disable.

Fix: The new work order module had a bug when editing a brand new unsaved Work Order. If you enable (check on) the under warranty checkbox for a part, the system zeroes out the retail. If you made a mistake and unchecked the under warranty box, the price would not reset. You would have to manually set the retail again by applying the displayed base retail price. This is now working properly. There were also circumstances where the PO # was skipping sequential numbers (ie.e going from PO 3 to PO 5) when saving a new PO. This has been fixed so there are no confusing gaps in the numbering system.

New: Added the ability to sort the manifest by entry order or name. Originally the sort was only by name.

Behavior Change: When creating a group reservation for a Charter/Day Trip and the guests are auto assigned, the system no longer generates a new customer record until they have been swapped with a new or existing customer. This eliminates having customers with unassigned names continually being added and creating a mess of names to merge and delete. This is especially useful when stores rarely or never assign a "real" customer to the guest reservation.

Enhancement: When editing event option pricing from the drop down lists section of Retail Operations, the software now provides an option to update the option price on all previously scheduled future events.

Version 6 Build 170331
Fix: When printing tags from the print tags now inventory search window, the start tag setting was not starting the tag in the selected position.

New: Added the ability to name your phone # fields on your customer entry screens. See System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> POS Customer Settings Tab -> Customer Phone Label Names section.

Change
:
Class session now have a session type drop down where you can pre-define the type of session. Some examples would be Classroom, Pool Session and Certification Dive. This replaces the free form class location field. In addition, the session description has been expanded from 30 characters to 500.

Fix: When placing a transaction on hold that contained rentals, the rental tracking data was lost when recalled. The rentals were still sold and the money collected correctly, but the rental calendar still showed those rentals as available.

New: Two new rental valuation reports have been added to the rental valuation report section. You can now run a summary report grouped by Rental Type or a detailed rental valuation grouped by Rental Type. Rental valuations now exclude retired rental items.

New: A new inventory type has been added to the system. It is named Option Item and works similar to class, charter and trips event options. You can define any number of option categories and within each category define any number of options. These options can adjust the price up or down or just mark an option at no price. It is most similar to an assembly but the options do not have to be inventory items themselves. It is commonly used for Food prep, where an egg sandwich may be the inventory item, but the options may be Bread Type (White, Wheat, Roll), Egg Style (Scrambled, Sunnyside), Cheese (American, Cheddar, Swiss) etc. This new inventory option coincides with the new kitchen printer feature. You can specify that an inventory item prints to the kitchen/secondary printer. If the Egg Sandwich inventory item has the kitchen printer option enabled, it sends an extra printout (the order) to a secondary printer typcially located in the prep area and generates an order # on both the customers receipt and the kitchen order printout. See the receipt and order below...

Separate kitchen order slip:

Fix: When purchasing a gift card that was placed on a running tab, the system would not register the gift card when the tab was paid off. FYI. Anyone who does purchase a gift card and uses the running tab will not see the gift card activated until the tab is paid off. This eliminates the potential for using the gift card while the status of the sale is in limbo. There exists the potential that the gift card is voided before paying off the tab and EncomPos cannot allow its use without certainty it is being purchased in the end. Note: it is not recommended to purchase a gift card while running a tab for a customer. It is better to establish a line of credit that must be paid off in the future.

Fix: When using the customer search in Retail Operations and searching by Street Address, the system generated a SQL error and loaded all customer records.

Change: Changed discontinued items background color from dark gray to red on the inventory search. It also shows the discontinued color when the grid is set to gray over white instead of just white.

Version 6 Build 170216
Enhancement: When using the calendar to create trips and charters, the depart date now defaults to the calendar date selected rather than to the current date. The trip end date will default to 7 days after the depart date by default.

Enhancement: The Customer Merge feature has been enhanced providing additional details as to what each customer has attached to their account. Some of the new information includes showing past and future class counts, past and future trips and charters, line of credit balances, product card program details and remaining counts, accumulation reward programs that are active, customer add date, open work orders indicator and membership details. In addition, Product Card programs, including air fill cards, nitrox cards and trip cards are now merged if they have a card on both accounts.

New: A new report was added to display summarized purchases by select departments for students who have taken a class or swim lesson. The results are based on a selection of x days after the class was taken. for example you may want to see all Gear department purchases within 60 days of taking an open water class. The new report is named Purchases After Class and is found within the Scuba/Swim Reports section of the Document Center.

New: There are now 5 additional department ring buttons available to assign to the pos pad. That brings the total to 10. To assign a button to a specific department ring, first go to System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Point of Sale Options Tab -> Selling Behaviors tab and fill out the department ring list with a dept # and a short dept name on the two available rows for the button description. Then go to System Configuration -> Pos Pad Layout and drag the My Dept buttons onto the desired page and position of the Pad.

Version 6 Build 170130
New: There is a new report in the customer line of credit accounts to generate a balance report as of a date in time. See Retail Operations -> Customers -> Line of Credit Accounts, click the print icon to see a drop down list of reports. Within that list choose Balance Report As of date... - a calendar windows opens to select the date and view the report. It lists all accounts that were in the system as of the date selected and their individual balances plus a total store balance in the footer.

Enhancement: EncomPos Retail now blocks attempting to delete a trip, day-trip/charter or class when customers are already signed up in the roster. In order to remove an event you must first cancel/drop all customers first.

Enhancement: When receiving a PO with serialized items, the system now checks for duplicates in the current entry list as well as against existing inventory. It also allows you to assign some serial #'s and assign a temporary # (TBA#) for items that you do not yet know the serial # for. Originally, you had to enter all serial #'s or skip the entire entry process until later.

Enhancement: Regardless of the valuation method you have set for your store (Simple (Last Cost/Average Cost), FIFO or LIFO the weighted average cost is always being calculated and displayed on the inventory search and form edit. Hover over the cost gauge icon to view the current average cost or click it to view the average cost history list. Average Cost has been added as a column to the inventory search screen also. When your valuation method is set to simple, items from inventory are sold and valuated at last/current or average inventory cost (depending on which is selected) . Even if you are set to average cost, the PO Cost is always Last/Current Cost.

Enhancement: Membership sign ups now print the expiration date and the customer name who was assigned the membership. You may sell memberships to multiple family members or friends in a single ticket. Each time you sell a mebership code, the system will ask fro the customer that will be attached to the membership.

Fix:
When selling a membership renewal (already had a previous enrollment in the same membership program, the membership expiration was not being updated for the repeat customer causing potential membership exclusive discounts and benefits from being allowed.

Version 6 Build 170117
Enhancement: You can now delete multiple customers from Retail Operations -> Customer Search screen. Right click the selected rows and choose Delete Customer(s).

New: You can now restore deleted customers from Retail Operations -> Security -> Delete / Modified Records. This will only be valid for customers deleted after the 170117 update.

Once shown on the screen, you can press the export toolbar button at the top to generate an export file.

New: When using a thermal receipt printer, there is a new option to include brand as a separate line item on the receipt. See Retail Operations -> System Configuration -> Retail Environment -> Receipt Options tab -> Thermal Roll Receipt Paper Tab -> Show Brand When Available check box option.
This adds an extra line on the receipt. When changing receipt settings you must exit the software completely for changes to take effect.

Version 6 Build 161231
Enhancement: You can now change the split commission associates from within the transaction journal. There is now a button to the far right of the journal view. Click the button to view your current commission assignment. From within the new window, click Change Commissions... to modify.

Enhancement: You can now change the associate assigned to a transaction from the Transaction Journal. Click the associate link to open a list of active associates to reassign. The action is recorded in the Security - Delete/Modified Records Log. This is useful if the wrong associate was assigned to commission earned transactions or to simply correct a transaction to reflect an accurate sales report by associate.

Enhancement: Product Card Programs: Event Cards including Dive Cards, Class/Swim Cards and Trip Cards now have 2 new rules defining when to apply a free event to a purchased card. In addition to event under $, we now have event equal to $ and event over $.

Enhancement: Product Card Programs: When selling a product Card (i.e. Air card, Nitrox card or Dive card) the system now allows for setting a quantity of cards purchased on a single line. So you may now sell 2 air fill cards for 10 fills in one scan with a quantity set to two. The result will now register 20 free air fills for the purchase. This eliminates having to sell individual cards
mulitple times.

Upgrade: Express Sellers originally sorted automatically by description and always filled out 20 items per page before allowing a new page. Now the system lets you assign the sort and page # for items in the express seller window. To configure the page and sort see Retail Operations -> Inventory - Express Sellers.

Enhancement: When a physical inventory is needed but you don't have our fancy Handheld for performing a fast and accurate inventory, we have added some nice new features to help customers using the physical inventory worksheets. 1) There is a new option to start a new physcial inventory by right clicking the inventory search screen and choosing More Mass Updates... Set Physical Inventory Status. The window has 3 choices. 1) Start a New Physical Inventory which resets the counted flag, inventory date and inventory time for all inventory not set to Service, Assembly, Fixed Tax, Pure Rental, MFG Sell Thru, Variety Pack, Flow Thru and work order service items.Once reset, when you adjust the QOH for items and choose the reason as Physcial Inventory Adjustment, the system will mark the items as counted with a date and time. You can use the search option "Physical Inv. Status" to view the items that were counted or not counted to manage what needs to be completed more easily. For items that did not have an adjustment you can use options 2) Set Counted or if you made a mistake, you can choose option 3) Set as Not Counted to reset an items status.

Fix: When recurring classes from the calendar where more than one event was on a day, the recurrence occured for the first listed event on that day, not the right clicked event.

Fix: When using a thermal receipt printer, we added support for the new generation Epson receipt printers. The new driver requires formatting for left alignment. This formatting caused an error in legacy printers (Epson TM-t88II) where the text "lA" would be in front of detail lines. This must be issued on the new printers to support left alignment. The old printers did not require a code for printing left alignment (as it was the default assumed format) To remove the lA characters, click terminal setup from the master menu and choose version 0 (Epson driver 2.5 or under) from the drop down of your POS Lane Printer setup. Version 1 is for most printers (Espon driver version 2.67 Tm-t88III-IV), Star TSP100, 143U, NCR printers, IBM printers, and most TPG receipt printers) and version 2 is for printers on the latest Epson OPOS driver (2.70 or later (TMt88V or later). Other models (Citizen, Axiohm and chinese branded receipt printers) will have to be tested in order to determine the driver compatibility.

Fix: The new receipt printer output deployed in June had an issue printing the product code and qty @ price line when there was a sale or discount line involved in the transaction for that item. The printout would duplicate the savings line rather than print the product code line. If your printer output looks like this:

then you need this update. The corrected output should look like this:

To search for inactive customers there is now a new search criteria to view Active or Inactive Customers.

New: Added a Reward Coupon Tracking page. This ties to the Accumulation Rewards Program where the Reward is $ Value Coupon. The original coupon was generic for any customer, non expiring and not tracked. The new coupon ties exclusively to the customer rewarded. It also allows for an expiration x days after issuance. See Loyalty Programs -> Reward Coupon Tracking. Make sure you fill out the expires n days in the Accumulation Reward Program setup.

Fix: The customer display did not show Tax 2 information on the receipt view when running the larger resolution (1024x768) display mode.

New: Added a check box on the report criteria to view the cost, non-deposit retail and profit margin for each transaction listed. This checkbox is secured so it must be enabled in Security -> Permissions - Document Center - Transaction Journal - View Cost / Profit Indicator Option.

There is also a clearer indicator for chosen group items. In addition, group codes now have a drop down list edit window (See System Configuration -> Drop Down Lists-> Assembly Groups) to tie a descriptive group name to the 2 character code. The new group name appears on each tab selection page making it easy for the associate to determine what type of items they are looking at without memorizing codes or deciphering your 2 digit choice.

Update: Permission / Security entry. The Security Permission Name: "Tax Override" has been renamed "Tax Override / Exempt". The entry now secures both the tax override button at the Point Of Sale pad and the tax exempt check box on all customer profile / quick edit windows.

Improved: Terminal grid layouts are now saved in the encompos database rather than a computers windows registry. To transistion to this option, you must re-design and save your default terminal layout again. Sorry for the inconvienence.

Then save the layout for that terminal/PC or save as a global layout that can be loaded at any computer.

New: When creating an inventory item where the Prompt for Price option is enabled or the item type is set to Mfg Sell through, the system now allows for dynamic cost formulas to be applied to the transaction item cost making margins accurate. Three formulas exist:
1) Set the cost down by a margin percent.
2) Set the cost down by a dollar amount.
3) Set the cost equal to the retail assigned at time of sale.
Note: Making the cost equal to the retail is useful for shipping charges that are being passed on to a customer based on cost.
See the inventory form edit, new icon next to cost (Cost Formulas).

Fix: When selling an item that was on sale or had a member group discount there could arise an issue calculating the proper discount after setting the quantity more than 2 times. The net sale are still correct but the discounts could become overstated causing the gross sales to be adjusted to make up for the bad discount.

New: The customer search results has a new column named Customer. This field is a combination of First Name + Last Name or Business Name depending on the account type. This makes sorting and viewing your full customer list easier.

New: The quick customer lookup, customer profile, and customer form view now have an SMS/Text Message checkbox allowing you to set whether phone # 1 accepts text messages. This will be used within the EnTouch CRM Email Automation service to send out texts as well as Emails. The service will be available in limited capacity starting in April 2016.

New: Split Commission View. When viewing the transaction journal, the associate column is clickable to show which associates were selected for split commissions. The existing view was renamed 'Detail Summary View' and provides statistics summarized from the transaction detail (items) level including discounts, averages, net sales and profits margins.

In order for your doc files to continue printing, you must download the latest open office on your computer and set the default program for opening doc files to Open Office Write. Microsoft Word does not allow this feature. So even if you have Word, it is still necessary to have a copy of open office installed. This is the same for printing PDF files. A copy of Adobe reader 10 or 11 must be installed on any computer directly printing an attached PDF file. The built in Reader in Windows 8 will not work. Note: This is different than EncomPos generating a PDF file. To generate a PDF export file, make sure you have the installed Sybase Datawindow PS printer. It also requires the install of the open source Ghostscript utility. Please contact support if you require help with this feature.

A running tab differs from a line of credit account in a few ways. 1) A Line of Credit account is an actual "sale" placed on a credit line. Therefore the sales and tax are reflected in your daily sales. Running tabs are pending sales and do not become a sale until fully paid. 2) A Line of credit account has limits and may be paid into as well as against. They also allow multiple payments over time. 3) Line of credits accounts can feed to Quickbooks A/R, while running tabs are reported and controlled entirely through EncomPos Retail. 4) A running tab automatically loads when a customer with a tab due is attached to the transaction and must be paid in full to clear the tab.

The sign in at the POS now utilizes a POS code rather than the user id for access.
