Begin by going to Charters / Day Trips located within the Scuba Diving feature on the tree menu.
To create a new charter, click the New Charter icon in the toolbar. This will start a new entry in the Charters / Day Trips window.
Charter Number - The Charter Number is automatically created when the new charter is saved.
Primary Destination - This is a freeform field that is used for the name of the charter destination.
Boat Name - Use this field to list the name of the boat being used for the charter.
Depart Date - Use these date fields to specify when the charter departs. Either type in the month/day/year (##,##,####), or use the ... button to pull up a full calendar to select the date from.
Depart & Return Times - Use these fields to indicate the times leaving and returning. Time is non-military - use the A or P on your keyboard to indicate whether morning or afternoon.
Cost - This is the cost to the store to offer the charter. It is an optional field, but filling it out will show a more accurate profit margin for your Charter/Day Trip sales.
Charter Price - This is the price of the charter to your customer.
Min Deposit - The minimum amount a customer must pay when signing up for a Charter. This can be overriden at the POS to accept more or less of a deposit. Security is available for taking an amount less than the minimum deposit.
Min Seats - This is the minimum number of seats that should be sold for the charter to occur.
Max Seats - This is the maximum number of seats that can be signed up for the charter.
Seats Left - The number of seats that have not been sold. This number is calculated from the Max and the number of customers signed up. If a customer is signed up and their purchase exceeds the seats left, the associate will be notified but will be allowed to continue signing the customer to the charter.
