BACK TO SUPPORT TOPICS

Begin by going to Charters / Day Trips located within the Scuba Diving feature on the tree menu.

An Important Setting:

In the Charters toolbar, there is a drop down field used to set the Department for Trips. Use the drop down arrow to pull down a list of your departments and select your department. This will apply tax settings and appropriate charter sales made from selling by department when not sold through the trip module.

To create a new charter, click the New Charter icon in the toolbar. This will start a new entry in the Charters / Day Trips window.

Charter Number - The Charter Number is automatically created when the new charter is saved.

Primary Destination - This is a freeform field that is used for the name of the charter destination.

Boat Name - Use this field to list the name of the boat being used for the charter.

Depart Date - Use these date fields to specify when the charter departs. Either type in the month/day/year (##,##,####), or use the ... button to pull up a full calendar to select the date from.

Depart & Return Times - Use these fields to indicate the times leaving and returning. Time is non-military - use the A or P on your keyboard to indicate whether morning or afternoon.

Cost - This is the cost to the store to offer the charter. It is an optional field, but filling it out will show a more accurate profit margin for your Charter/Day Trip sales.

Charter Price - This is the price of the charter to your customer.

Min Deposit - The minimum amount a customer must pay when signing up for a Charter. This can be overriden at the POS to accept more or less of a deposit. Security is available for taking an amount less than the minimum deposit.

Min Seats - This is the minimum number of seats that should be sold for the charter to occur.

Max Seats - This is the maximum number of seats that can be signed up for the charter.

Seats Left - The number of seats that have not been sold. This number is calculated from the Max and the number of customers signed up. If a customer is signed up and their purchase exceeds the seats left, the associate will be notified but will be allowed to continue signing the customer to the charter.
