Begin by going to Courses located within the Scuba Diving feature on the tree menu. There are ten pre-loaded scuba agency training maps to aid in setting up the courses you offer in your business. Additionally, courses can be customized and added to make up for any not already available.
Two Important Settings:
In the Courses toolbar, click the dropdown to set the Department that you have created for your Classes/Education. This will apply tax settings and appropriate class sales made from selling by department when not sold through the class module.
Also in the Courses toolbar, use the second to last icon, Agencies, to set the scuba agencies that are offered in your store. Select the My Agency check box next to each school or use the green Add button at the bottom of this window to add an agency that is not already in the list. Click the Show check box to make the agencies available when adding certifications to your customer profile that your customer did not earn through your store. Once done, click the OK button to return to the Courses window.
Use the radio buttons to view the courses offered by each school. (We have attempted to have all courses mapped out, but may not be 100% accurate due to changes made by the schools). Check the boxes next to each course that you offer - checking the box will add the course to the window to the right and unchecking will remove the course from that same window.
Each course needs to be edited after being added over. Click the Edit icon in the toolbar to access the fields for each course.
Course Num - Pre-loaded courses have an automatic numbering system starting from 100. If you are going to create custom courses, use numbers 1-99.
Course Name - Classes you schedule will point to these Course names, so make them recognizable for all.
Class Cost - This is the cost to the store to teach each course. It is an optional field, but filling it out will show a more accurate profit margin for your class sales.
Retail Price - This is the price of the class to your customer. Classes can be discounted at the time of sale, so make this your starting price.
