Order Tags To The Portable LP3 Printer

To print from the PC, hook the printer up to the PC with the serial cable. Tags are ordered to the LP3 from the Inventory Search Work Set results. With products pulled up in the search, use the Tasks drop down located in the bottom taskbar, or right click a product or selected set of products brought up in the Search Work Set to trigger the same set of tasks. From the task menu, select Print O'neil Shelf Tags to open the LP3 Shelf Tag Print interface.

The same shelf tag stock sizes apply as on Page 1. Select the size tag loaded in the printer, and in the case of the Small Shelf Tag, select either Style 1 or 2, depending on whether the yellow/white or all yellow tags are being used.

The software is set to order the selected products in the search work set, but all items in the workset can also be printed if applicable. Upon clicking the OK button tags should start printing immediately, printing each tag in succession until all products selected have a new shelf tag, and closing the tag print interface.

If the tags fail to print, or stop printing altogether, open the printer where the tags feed and check that the label stock has not jammed. Also check that the serial cable is plugged in properly. If all of the serial ports are taken on the PC, there may be a serial to USB converter used to hook that printer up. Unplug the USB end of the cable from the PC to reset the port. There are times a communication port on a PC gets overwhelmed and replugging the device will cause that port to be reopened, allowing the printer to re-connect.
