Gift Cards are redeemed in the tendering section of a sale. At the POS, bring an item onto the sales screen and total the transaction. Gift Card is a tendering option located below the Cash, Check and Credit tender buttons.

Click the Gift Card tender button and the sales screen will be overriden by a window to slide or scan the gift card. Use your barcode scanner or magnetic stripe reader to pick up the barcode or mag stripe data, depending on your store's card type. The Enter button is usually triggered by the barcode or mag stripe reader but if not, click the Enter button to reference the amount available on the gift card back on the POS tendering screen.

Notice below the Tendering Number Pad field that the full Gift Card Balance (amount available) is listed below the amount due of the sale.

If the sale amount is less than the gift card balance - When you enter the amount due onto the gift card, the sale will finish, putting the full sale amount on the gift card. The gift card balance will print on the bottom of the receipt for the customer.

If the sale amount is greater than the gift card balance - When the purchase amount is greater than the value of the card, the amount in the number pad will match the amount available on the card. Press the enter button to use the full amount of the card. The sales ticket to the left will display the gift card amount used and the balance due will be listed in the number pad for a new tender to be selected for finishing the sale. The gift card balance of zero will be printed at the bottom of the customers receipt.
