Customer # - This number is automatically assigned when the new customer record is saved. The Alt. Code field is only filled in through the Retail Operations or populated from a data conversion.
Reassign Card - This option is not available to use on a New Customer record. If you use cards, see below on how to add a customer using a store customer card.
Personal Account or Business Account - Use these radio buttons to set the customer record as a Personal or Business account. You can fill toggle between the options, fill in the name fields and utilize both the customer name and business name on one record.
First, Last and Business Names - Three separate fields used to capture your customer's name and/or business name.
Address & Line 2 - Use these two fields to define the customer's home or work address.
City, State, Zip, Country - Four fields used to identify where your customer lives. The Zip Code field allows for Canadian code entry.
Note* If you type in the zip code first and it is a recognized number, it will back fill the City and State fields.
Drivers License - If your state has non-encrypted barcodes (and you have a Symbol DS6707 barcode scanner) or a magnetic stripe on the back of the driver's license, our software may be able to read and fill in the data in on that card. Typically this will include the customer's name, address, driver's license number, and date of birth.
Phone & Ext. - The phone field is preformatted, so just type in the customer's 10 digit phone number. Use the extension field if required for the given phone number.
Group - This is a drop down field to access any customer groups available in your store. These groups allow you to create automatic discounting when a customer purchases from a defined group of products. These customer groups are added in the Retail Operations Member Discounts, located under the Loyalty Programs.
Affiliation - Affiliations are created in the Retail Operations Customer Form View, specifically in the drop down field for Affiliations. This field is meant to group people together in a smaller format than your Customer Groups. Use the drop down field on the profile to associate the customer to the Affiliation.
Email - Type in the customer's email address to include the .com, .net or .org extension. The email address is critical to type in correctly as it is used to send service and marketing emails.
