In order to utilize the Work Order Service your departments need to be set up as Service Departments with the type of service it is related to.

Begin by logging into Retail Operations and go to the Department List View under Departments in the tree menu. Locate one of your service departments in the list and double click the row or navigate on the tree menu to go to the Department Form View.

In the top, middle section of the Form View there is a Service Department check box that needs to be checked off in order for it to set the department as service. Additionally, to the right of that check box, there is the Type field. This is a drop down field that accesses the list of Service Types, (located in the System Configuration, Drop Down Menus, Service Timeframes drop down selection).

Use the drop down arrow and scroll bar in that window to select the Service Type that is related to each specific Service Department in your list of departments. Then click the Save button in the Department toolbar to save the service settings. This must be done on all relevent departments in order for the Work Order Service reminders to work.
