After signing in, click the Task button to bring up a list of other POS activities. Click the dark grey button beneath the task pad labelled Close Shift to bring up the easy counter.

The touch caluclator at the top is used to set the quantity of each coin and bill. Below that on the left is a view of the drawer breakdown, from the Starting Cash amount, to any money dropped from the drawer, including cash drops, money paid out and checks cashed. Below that is the tracked cash that builds as the money is counted to the right. After deducting the amount of cash that is to be left in the drawer for the next shift, the Cash Out Drop number informs the associate how much to pull for the deposit, with the difference between the associate's counted value to that tracked by the system listed at the very bottom.

Use the interface to the right to set the quantity of each coin and bill in the drawer. For instance, if counting pennies, touch that coin type to set the blue focus ball. Now use the touch calculator to set to total number of pennies in the drawer. Click the Set button in the calculator to set the count which will add the total to the right of the coin or bill and update the Final Cash Count to the left.

The Add and Subtract buttons inthe Touch Calculator can be used to fix an existing count on a coin or bill. Highlight the media type and use the calculator to enter the number either being added to or subtracted from the existing count.

*Notice that Checks, Gift Card redemptions, Cashed Checks, Credit Card payments in the form of E-Payments, Coupons and Store Credit activity are all tracked by the system.

When the count is complete, click the green Close Shift button in the upper right. Next, verify the associate needs to verify one more time that they are ready to close out by clicking the OK button. Cancel will take the associate back to the Closeout window. Upon clicking OK to close the shift, a receipt will print with the counted values and a signature line for the associate to sign and verify the totals.
